For our second episode, we discussed three different non-vintage champagnes and the influence of their different ‘terroir’.
Gisèle Devavry N.V Brut – 70% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Noir, 15% Pinot Meunier. A great example of chardonnay from the Epernay region. Fresh, and well balanced
Vilmart et Cie, Grande Reserve N.V. Brut – 70% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay. A full bodied non-vintage, aged and vinified in oak for 10 months.
Paul Dethune N.V Brut – 70% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay. A non-vintage made entirely from Grand Cru grapes, giving an added finesse to the blend.
